Sheet Piles are prefabricated, reusable steel elements that are driven into the ground and interlock to form a watertight retaining wall. Individual sheet piles are hammered into the ground with a vibro-hammer in a “U” or “Z” shape. In most cases, sheet pile walls serve just a temporary purpose and are removed once the project is completed. For applications such as cofferdams or shoring for deep excavations extending below the ground water table, sheet pile walls are generally an efficient and cost-effective solution.
